How do I delete a playlist from the iPhone or iPod Touch?

This Quick Tip requires that you have at least iOS 4 installed on your device.

In this example from an iPhone, tap on the iPod icon on your phone. Then when the iPod music player loads, tap on the "Playlists" tab. Note that the location of this tab may differ from phone to phone.

Press playlist

 

Tap on the playlist that you want to delete. In the example below, the playlist "My awesome playlist" is going to be deleted...

Choose playlist

 

At the top of the playlist listing are 3 buttons. You need to tap the "Delete" button to delete this playlist...
