NZiPhone.com was launched on Friday, June 20th 2008 and is a companion site to NZMac.com, New Zealand's largest Mac website dedicated to supporting the New Zealand Macintosh community. NZiPhone.com, like its counterpart, is dedicated to bringing New Zealander's all the news on a truly amazing Apple product.
Built on the ground-breaking open source Joomla content management system, NZiPhone.com takes full advantage of the new Joomla 1.5 framework to build an easy-use-use website using the latest technologies and functionality previously unavailable in Joomla.
As with NZMac.com, the heart of the NZiPhone.com website is its discussion forum, providing an opportunity for iPhone users from all walks of life an opportunity to discuss the officially released iPhone and get help from other uses as to how best to make use of the incredible product. Users will be actively encouraged to participate, submit content and reviews, as well as win prizes in competitions on the website.

About NZMac.com
Launched on January 1st, 2003 by Philip Roy (www.bluengrey.com), NZMac.com is a website dedicated to supporting the New Zealand Macintosh community. It includes the latest New Zealand Macintosh news, discussion forums, international news and reviews. Through the use of discussion forums, buy/sell areas, NZ news, user blogs, events and information with a specific New Zealand flavour, NZMac.com provides a web site that Mac users in New Zealand look to as their main source of all things Macintosh.
About Philip Roy
An Apple user since the days of the Apple IIe (remember those?), Philip's obsession with the Mac was rejuvenated whilst living and working in London. As well as being a freelance web and multimedia developer, Philip works part-time for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Massey University, as their E-Learning Facilitator. With a background in teaching, he was recognised as a Flexible Learning Leader in New Zealand in 2004. Philip also wrote the multimedia section of New Zealand Macguide Magazine from Issue 1, 2002 until the demise of the print publication in late 2007. Philip is currently completing is Master of Education in Online and Distance Education, has a particular interest in the use of web-based conferencing systems and has presented internationally on the subject.
