Just updated my iphone 3g using the tool that shall not be named to the new 2.01 (5B108) firmware.

worked a treat, i now have the installer (beta) application that allows you to download unsigned apps from multiple sources and not just the apple app store anymore. doesnt seem to be too many good apps yet - few that allow you to change the theme, look and feel of the icon background etc.

Still very much work in progress but nice to see its started. looking forward to some cool features in the near future...

p.s. i ran the full apple updater that updated the baseband etc and then ran the tool to jailbreak it - so the new firmware doesnt have any added security measures... maybe apple is starting to realize that having an open device will sell more...
