Apps for game discovery and organization? http://www.nziphone.com/forum/general-discussion/2172-apps-for-game-discovery-and-organization.html#2172 http://www.nziphone.com/forum/general-discussion/2172-apps-for-game-discovery-and-organization.html#2172
I'm new to the iPhone 'scene' and I was wondering if there are any good apps in the market (app store) that I can use to better discover and organize games on my device. I'm looking for something specifically for games as I'm a 'heavy' gamer.

I stumbled upon these guys http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/mob.me/id485517410?ls=1&mt=8 and would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!]]>

Cellular data network has NOTHING to do with wifi....I can't stress that enough.

One of the things you should check is if your router is broadcasting its name. The phone won't find the network name unless it is broadcasting. You shouldn't have to deal with IP addresses.....just select the wifi network and type in a password.

Three things if that fails...1) try choosing the "forget this network" option on the screen that gives details about the network and trying again....2) try turning off the phone for a moment (it shouldn't make a difference, but sometimes a restart can help) and 3) spend some time looking at your settings for your router. These can be quite complex....it's quite possible to give someone a wifi network password and it still not work because of other settings you have put into security, such as only certain WiFi addresses being allowed to use your broadband.

Yes it is a paswort secured wifi. My daughter and her husband have always access when they come to me. Because I provided the pasworth.
I looked at my daughter phone for her entries under "WiFi Networks". Like IP address ect. Has been diferent from what was typed in my iPhone, done itself . Copied hers into mine. Got the Network ticked now. But nothing else, no access to nothing.
Anyway. As I understood I have to make some entries under "cellular date network". I don't know how to access this point? Whether it will solve the problem too.

Going to "Safari" after all those steps bring following indication:
"Cannot Open Page, Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding." No App Store, iTunes nothing is accessable.

Thanks again

I've deleted your other post as you don't need to post the same thing twice.

Your post confuses two things...connecting to wifi (or wireless broadband as it is sometimes called) and connecting your phone to use data from a cellphone network like telecom. I think you are after the former (wifi) ?

Part of the issue will be how your wifi is set up at home. Do you have a broadband connection? Are you sure your broadband router at home includes the ability for it to provide a wifi service? How is that service set up? Is it password protected? Will it accept devices being added to it etc?

Let's assume that it is set up for wireless, but that it is password protected, as you know the password.

Here's how you do it....

I got my daughters former iPhone 3.
However I can't gain access to the internet home wifi. I went already to a telecom shop. The guy printed off a guide "step by step" It's tells me to go Settings>General>Network>Cellular Network Data. The fourth step Cellular Network Data is so not present. It calls "Cellular Data" only and is not to open. Or to type in, such things as APN ect.
It finds my wifi network. The IP address is different as shown on my daughter phone. When I enther these details it brings even a tick to the Network choosen. However I can't gain access to the net. There comes the message "could not activate cellular network data" too.
Does someone knows what and how to do it?

Many thanks Edgar]]>
