Fantasy-themed Brick Destroying game (move 3 of the same or more together) but with so sooo much more.

What makes this better is the very slick graphics (eart wind and fire etc. themed bricks), sound(albeit with no volume control) and the ability to rotate the screen all 4 ways, to tumble the bricks around, which makes it more useful to destroy larger areas of bricks at once. Once you have collected (mined) enough resources, you get the abilioty to make new plans in the smith (essentially like new abilities) so each brick is worth more, or create bonus items ie blocks that destroy all of one type or everything below them etc. or armour or weapons to equip your character. All this is great fun, and makes the playing more interesting and actually worth repeating he game for (something pretty much every other brick game lacks) There are also minigames as part of smithing, or tower (learning new spells etc.) that require you to think out a puzzle or get a set number of certain type of block to advance.

I started off really liking this game and got right into it...even if I couldn’t understand the “story”. The whole wandering around a map to do different activities (going to the store, the tower, the mine) is a bit pointless I think and gets in the way of the game. It kinda feels like it is trying to make the game far more clever than it is.

The games are enjoyable though (I particularly like the ones in the tower) but it has all started taking way too long. I’ve discovered I can just sit there wiping my finger backwards and forwards repeatedly and the blocks will align themselves and disappear in the way they should....so I’m almost playing the game for no point at the moment other than trying to complete the thing...but “playing” is the wrong word as I’m no longer being engaged by it and cheating.

One button is also now active “The World” and there is a teaser saying you’ll be able to play online with people soon, but by that stage, I think I’m done.

This is a really good game for my ipod touch. The graphics are superb and game play is flawless. Although it's easy to work out the general idea of the game, there is no easy help manual included with the game so Im still a little unclear about all of the features of the game.

Overall though, excellent game for free and one of the most extensive I've seen so far.

To summarise, it is immensly fun, i play this the most and stay up too late the most on this game!very fun, graphics are great, great repeat gameplay ... seriuosly good for a free game.

NB: there were issues in an initial release that mined your iphone/ipod contacts list for a community feature without your knowledge, but itunes banned the game unitl they sorted this out, now if you want to you can sign up for it in a splash screen. (It's going to be the start of a huge MMPOG eventually)

This was also reviewed in ilounge.com and they gave it a very favourable review as a game that really does show you whats possible with a touch and rotate interface for ipod/iphone.

Just download it now and try it ....
