500 million app downloads

Apple's main page of their website proudly announces the fact that over 500 million applications have now been downloaded from the App Store for the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch. Given that they had reached 300 million in early December 2008, this reflects and ever increasing demand for the 15,000+ apps in the store.
