Want proof that the iPad is almost here? Well look no further than links in the iTunes store to Pages (http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/pages/id361309726?mt=8), Numbers (http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/numbers/id361304891?mt=8) and Keynote (http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/keynote/id361285480?mt=8). Throw in iBooks (not on iTunes yet) and you're set to go. I suspect the appearance of the iWorks apps probably owe more to the fact that the iPad is about to descend on Australia (where iTunes is largely managed for us) than any suggestion of early iPads for New Zealand. The iWorks apps are also available to purchase via the App Store on the iPad.
