Apple's NZ website says that fans that pre-order the iPhone 4S will receive it between November 15th and 28th. Hence, it's going to be a long wait for many of us that pre-ordered it.

Another update is the handling of the battery problems on devices running iOS 5. Apple will release a fix the coming weeks, which should be around the time the first new iPhones are delivered.

Question is - now that the 4S is available at both VF and telecom - should we be cancelling our Apple pre-orders and just buying from the carriers walk-in style? If its not shipped tomorrow I think thats what I'll do...

It's a tough call. Everyone is eager to get it ASAP. :-)

Some of the Telecom's plans seem reasonable, but possibly waiting for a day or two could still be worthwhile if you have already pre-ordered it from the Apple store.

The trade-off (at least for me) is that I'd need to sign up for a new plan, losing the free 3Gb of data I have on my current VF plan in the process
