Mark Papermaster. Interesting name, and someone that Apple went to a great deal of trouble to hire. Now it seems due to antennagate, he may no longer be wanted at Apple. Various websites are reporting this morning that Papermaster has left Apple (Engadget, New York Times, Ars Technica) after 14 months, but keep in mind that some of these sites are just repeating the news. Papermaster gained notoriety when Apple hired him from IBM, but IBM protested, leading to litigation. As the NZMac.com article of 28 January 2009 stated, it appeared to be resolved. But it appears that Papermaster has now left and that the reason speculated relates to the antenna issues of the iPhone 4.

After trying an iPhone 4 today I think I prefer my 3G as it is far more comfortable to hold and in all honesty it just doesn't feel right in the hand. Wonder how/if I could upgrade to a 3GS so that I get a bit of extra speed and some of the iOS 4 benefits that the 3G doesn't give me?
