TomTom have update their iPhone application to version, bringing with it the much hoped for iPod Touch and iPhone (non 3GS) support. Of course, the TomTom car kit will be needed for GPS support. New features on the 1.2 update include Spoken Street Names (Text-to-speech), “Help Me” (providing direct access to emergency numbers and directions to the nearest emergency providers), an updated map and safety camera database, customisable audio warnings when approaching safety cameras or driving over the speed limit, and an iPod player control ensuring drivers can conveniently control their music from within the application.
