I have separated the process of submitting product listings and product reviews in the review section tonight. For most users this will have little impact, but it means that companies will now be able to add their products into the user review section for others to review later. Previously these two things had to happen at the same time for new products.

So why do this? Well from a site user point of view, the product still needs to be listed before you can review it. So if it's not, you still need to submit a listing before you can then submit a review of that product. These were one and the same thing until now (on one very lengthy page) and now they are two separate things. However, it was and still is the case, that for a product that is already listed, you can easily login and add a review without having to find out additional product information.

So it goes like this. See the product listed? No - then login and list the product. If Yes (it's listed already) or when the listing is published, then login and add a review.

For a company simply wanting to have their product listed (for others to review) they are now able to this, and leave the reviews in the hands of other site users. Developers and companies should look at this page for more information. It also means that if a company doesn't want to go to the trouble of submitting a Press Release, but does want details of their product listed, they will now be able to get them on to the site quickly, with images included.

I'm also going to take this time to add in some listings of games I've bought but don't have the time to review at this stage. Feel free to add a review to any of them as you see them appear. I hope to come back to them in the New Year and add my own reviews.
