In my "Year that was" post on NZiPhone.com, I commented that for a number of reasons, I was unable to get together a New Year contest for either site, most notably because I'm swamped with study. Well, it just didn't seem right not to start the year off with something, so I've put together a contest that is easy to enter and has some gifts I bought from the Apple Company Store when I visited mid-year (this is the shop that sits next to Apple HQ at Cupertino) and some other goodies I've put together. I'm sorry it's not more, but it's still pretty good...and very easy for you to enter.
So here are the prizes on offer:
- $50 NZD iTunes Gift Card + either an Apple Cap or Apple keyring (your choice)
- $30 NZD iTunes Gift Card + either an Apple Cap or Apple keyring (your choice)
- $30 NZD iTunes Gift Card
- Either an Apple Cap or Apple keyring (you may be able to get a choice but it is dependent on what first and second place decide)
- Either an Apple Cap or Apple keyring (whichever one is left)
And here's how to win...it's very easy. You simply need to do something (and show me what you did) to promote either NZMac.com or NZiPhone.com...or both (you get two entries if you promote both). Specifically, you ned to promote the sites using their site name and their official tag lines (without the speech marks that follow)....
- "NZMac.com - Supporting the New Zealand Macintosh community"
- "NZiPhone.com - the home of the iPhone in New Zealand"
It's up to you how you do it, but you need to be able to show what you've done. Examples could include tweeting the phrase to your Twitter account, posting the phrase in a blog post or on your website, replacing your public avatar on Facebook with the expression as an image, changing your forum signature on a public forum (not on the two sites in question obviously)...you decide.
Then just email me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with the evidence of what you did, if you'd prefer the cap or keyring (see the image below, sorry the mug is not available as that was given away previously) and your postal address.
Rules
- This contest closes on midnight, January 31, 2010 and is shared across both sites
- Prizes will only be sent to New Zealand postal addresses
- iTunes Gift cards will be mailed out via standard post, not emailed out
- Promotion activities must be entirely your own work and must not breach copyright or intellectual property rights in any way
- Choice of cap or keyring preferences will be considered in order of winning (i.e., 1st prizes gets first choice, then 2nd prize etc) and later winners may not be able to have the same choice
- Anyone who fails to complete the contest process will not be considered
- The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
- All information submitted by users will be deleted at the end of the process and no personal information will be retained by NZMac.com or NZiPhone.com
