I'm incredibly pleased and proud to say - Welcome to NZiPhone.com, the home of the iPhone in New Zealand!! NZiPhone.com is a companion site to NZMac.com, New Zealand's largest Mac website dedicated to supporting the New Zealand Macintosh community. NZiPhone.com, like its counterpart, is dedicated to bringing New Zealanders all the news on a truly amazing Apple product. Built on the ground-breaking open source Joomla content management system, NZiPhone.com takes full advantage of the new Joomla 1.5 framework to build an easy-to-use website using the latest technologies and functionality previously unavailable in Joomla. Now that the site is officially launched, over the next few weeks NZiPhone.com will continue to evolve to meet the needs of the iPhone community in New Zealand and businesses wishing to advertise their products on the site. As with NZMac.com, the heart of the NZiPhone.com website will be its discussion forum, providing iPhone users from all walks of life with an opportunity to discuss the iPhone and get help from other users as to how best to make use of this incredible product. The NZiPhone.com website will have many features similar to NZMac.com, but will not be as detailed in its community focus. That said, users will still be actively encouraged to participate, submit content and reviews, as well as win prizes in competitions on the website. The iPhone is only days away from an official launch in New Zealand. Having had the opportunity to see and use the first iteration of the iPhone, the thing that staggered me so much was how easy and intuitive it was to use. Every person I passed the phone to was quickly browsing and stretching images, typing in text and playing videos. It is a truly revolutionary piece if technology nd already, other mobile phone creators are trying to keep up or match the creativity, simplicity and power of the iPhone. When it arrives in New Zealand, it is going to change the phone, iPod and mobile market for some time. If you have any questions about the site, please use the contact form or post in the forum.
