If there's a Web App for the iPhone or iPod Touch that you frequently use (such as the NZMac or NZiPhone Web Apps) then it's probably a good idea to have a link to it directly from the Home Screen of your device.  To do this open up the Web App in Safari, and then click on the little 'plus sign' at the bottom of the screen.  A menu will pop up, with the options of "Add Bookmark", "Add to Home Screen", and "Mail Link to this Page".  Tap the "Add to Home Screen" button where you will be asked to name the Web App.  Now click "Add".  You now have a nice little icon of of the App, that will take you directly to that web page.

This can also be done with regular web pages, however the icon will simply be an image of where you had the webpage on the screen at the time of saving it.  Note that these icons remember the placement of the webpage, so if there's something such as a cartoon on a specific webpage, you can zoom in to it, add to Home Screen, and next time you open you will be returned straight to that cartoon.
